LIV Golf drop hint about Jon Rahm injury status
Jon Rahm is set to return to golf a week after a foot injury ruled the marquee LIV signing out of the 2024 US Open
The foot injury that prevented Jon Rahm from playing in the 2024 US Open doesn't seem to have curtailed the golfer for too long.
Rahm has been listed in the field for this week's LIV Golf event in Nashville, USA.
And he is scheduled to take part in a news conference ahead of the breakaway tour's ninth event of the 2024 campaign on Wednesday.
bunkered have also reported the 29-year-old Spaniard also already arrived in Tennessee.
Rahm looked in visible anguish playing the LIV event in Houston a week prior to making the trip to Pinehurst No.2.
He arrived wearing one flip flop and one shoe and limped around the golf club in North Carolina.
Rahm said he only made the trip because the antibiotics he was taken controlled the infection, but the pain was still severe.
He hoped to tee it up in the third men's major of the year anyway, but then revealed it was in the best interests of his long-term health to withdraw.
Rahm posted a picture with his foot up as he watched the carnage unfold and saw his LIV peer Bryson DeChambeau win his second US Open title.
LIV are playing their second consecutive event in the United States this week.
After this week, the breakaway tour heads to Europe, making stops in Spain and England before heading back to the US for the conclusion of the campaign.
Rahm is currently second in LIV's individual standings. He trails Chile's Joaquin Niemann.
On the team front, Rahm's Legion XIII are trying to chase down the aforementioned DeChambeau's Crushers.
Rahm is yet to claim victory on the breakaway tour since joining the league last December.
Despite victory proving so far elusive, Rahm is yet to finish outside the top-10 in the 54-man fields.
