Price
£279.00
Pros
- The TaylorMade Stealth fairway woods deliver great ball speeds and distance for a wide range of golfers.
Cons
- The prices of the fairway woods may be outside of some people's budgets.

The TaylorMade Stealth drivers are very impressive and the family trait continues into the fairway wood duo: the TaylorMade Stealth and TaylorMade Stealth Plus.

In the fairway woods, there is no red carbon face as there is no benefit from having a complete carbon face in these clubs.

The Stealth Plus (£349) is adjustable and offers mid to low spin and a high launch. The TaylorMade Stealth (£279) is more forgiving, has a high launch and mid-spin.

In the Stealth Plus, there is an 80g soleplate, which there also has been in previous iterations. But it has now been re-engineered for turf interaction.

The TaylorMade Stealth has a 3D carbon crown which brings it round to the sole of the club. There is more carbon in the Stealth fairway wood.

At address, the Stealth Plus looks nice with its advanced laser alignment. Alex found that it produced strong ball speeds for a fairway wood.

The Stealth Plus produced good distances with its low-spin design. It is not as forgiving as first thought and if PGA Tour players put it in their bags, they may adjust the head to increase the spin rate.

The TaylorMade Stealth is a bigger club with a bigger head and even by look, it is more forgiving. The ball speed results were similar to the Stealth Plus.

In terms of feel, both fairway woods are identical but the Stealth is definitely aimed at amateur players and not tour players. This is the key difference between these two new clubs.
