Price
£299.00
Pros
- The Callaway Rogue ST Max D is extremely forgiving and delivers well with distance and spin rate.
Cons
- The prcie tag of £299 may be outside of some people's budgets.

The new and refined Callaway Rogue ST family will no doubt prove to be extremely popular and the Rogue ST MAX D fairway wood will be no anomaly.

GolfMagic have also reviewed the Callaway Rogue ST drivers which produced some fantastic results, and the Callaway ST MAX D fairway wood (£299) was no different.

They are very similar in terms of the use of technology. The new addition from previous models is the tungsten weight cartridge.

This gold piece has been placed low and deep and towards the front of the clubface. This optimises the centre of gravity which is perfect for increased forgiveness.

There are three models of the new Rogue ST fairway woods: the ST LS, the ST MAX and the ST MAX D. In the review above, Alex is reviewing the MAX D which has a draw bias.

At address, the club has a great black and cool finish. This is an improvement on the previous Callaway Epic models which were not as aesthetically pleasing.

As Alex shows using data, the spin rate and dispersion of his shots were very consistent. The launch angle was satisfactory and the carry distance delivered too.

Alex caught a couple of off-centre hits but because of the new tungsten weighting, this forgiving fairway wood did not diminish in its results.

The ST MAX D is a strong club to have in your bag. It can instil confidence and enhance your long game which is much needed in winter weather.

The new Rogue refinements are reliable and forgiving clubs that deliver on all fronts. As there are three new fairway woods in this range, it may be advisable to test all three to find the one that suits you best.
