Guido Migliozzi on dream pairings with Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose

Hi GolfMagic readers - thought it would be nice to check back in again with you all after a busy period of golf and before my rookie season draws to an end. I cannot believe how fast this year has gone and how much has happened in one short year!

It’s been an action-packed final stretch on the road and it’s been such a memorable year with so much learning, so many highlights obviously winning twice in my rookie season, and of course many airports! I can't complain though as I have the best job in the world and am very lucky to play golf for a living.

It was fantastic to play the flagship European Tour event last month at the incredible Wentworth Club, home to the BMW PGA Championship.

This has been a tournament I have watched for a long time on the television growing up and I was fortunate to get a practice round in with Rory McIlroy.

Rory is a great guy and it proved very useful testing my game against one of the best golfers in the world. To me, he is one of the very greatest ball strikers and he is just so consistent!

Returning home to play at the Italian Open was also a very special week and it was great to have so many friends and family attend to support me.

The Italian crowds really got behind me all week and shooting 66 on Day 2 was a great highlight of the week.

I was also paired with Justin Rose on the final day and that was such a special way to finish the week.

Justin is a complete gentleman, was so supportive of me and it was a real dream to play with a guy who has had such a successful career in golf - he has achieved so much and I look up to him a lot.

I must say thank you to both the Italian Golf Federation and all the staff and volunteers who made the Open d'Italia such a special event. I cannot wait to return to the event in 2020.

On the whole, I’ve been pleased with my game this season but I am working hard at all times to improve and that will continue for the rest of the season.

Before I go, I want to give you guys a sneak peek into the TaylorMade equipment I'm currently playing with as I get a lot of questions about which particular products I use and in what specs!

So I've got the M5 driver in the bag right now (9 degrees) and an M6 3-wood (15 degrees). I've then got a GAPR Mid Hybrid (19 degrees), a mix of irons consisting of P770 (4), P750 (5- 6) and P730 (7-PW), MG Raw wedges (50, 54, 58 degrees), a TP Del Monte putter and TP5x golf ball.

You can zoom in on my spec sheet below for more...

Feel free to ask me some questions on the products I play and will try and answer them for you! You can message me on Instagram @migliaus or on Twitter @guidomigliozzi.

Next up for me this week is the Portugal Masters. The Dom Pedro Victoria Course looks in great condition and I’m very much looking forward to the week!

Thanks for the great support as always guys, and I'll catch up with you again very soon.

Best,

Guido
