The fade is one of the most satisfying shots to hit in golf. You often see the best players on the PGA Tour sliding their balls from left to right in the air.

Shaping the ball is perceived as one of the hardest things to do in golf, but when it is broken down into simple steps, it can become very easy.

Manolo Vega, one of the best and most entertaining golf coaches on social media, has released a video showing very straightforward and easy steps on how to hit a fade.

Firstly, Vega makes it clear that you should aim your feet and your legs to the left of the green, or whichever target that you are aiming for.

This is the first part of hitting your fade. The ball needs to start flying to the left in the air. If it begins travelling too straight, the ball will spin to the right and turn into a slice.

Once you have aimed your body to the left of your target, you should aim your clubface straight at the target. Therefore, when you strike the ball, the right-hand spin will take the ball from the left of the target to dialled in on the target.

Vega explains this shot in a more exotic way than I do. However, this technique simplifies what many golfers think is a difficult shot to execute.

You may not need a fade from the middle of the fairway. If you need to manoeuvre your ball around a block, whether it is a tree or a large bush, these easy tips will help you to angle your ball around the obstruction.

Just before he hits the ball, Vega reminds us that you should also keep your head down and watch the club hit the ball. This tip should be used with every shot in golf.

Remember to aim your feet and legs to the left of the target and your clubface at the middle of the target. You will be hitting lovely fades in no time.
