Hot Speed
The Hot Speed fairway wood is the mid-range club from the Speed family and fills the void extremely well.
Compared to the RIP, which is aimed at better ball strikers, the Hot speed is slightly bigger which adds a little more forgiveness. It has a traditional look and is finished in an attractive matt black, with the same alignment aid and text design used in the whole Speed range.

I was impressed by this effort from Benross as I thought it blended distance, forgiveness and feel well. The ball travels well when struck out the middle of the club but it also doesn’t turn into a horror show when not hit perfectly.
It has a nice, soft feel and I was able to work the ball reasonably well right and left although the launch angle was too high for me and it would cause me problems, especially on windy days.
Verdict
This is a fantastic fairway wood from Benross and is perfect for players who hit the ball well but are still prone to the odd duff. It offers good distance, forgiveness and feel.
